The CHICHESTER PRO CAMERATA

A new professional orchestra for Chichester and the South of England


The Chichester Pro Camerata is made up of professionals from London and the south and will have its first performance at St. Paul’s Church, Churchside, Chichester on Saturday 19th July, 7.30 pm.  This concert, Simply Baroque will feature composers such as Bach, Handel and Vivaldi and include the oboe soloist Christopher Braime and cellist Ella Rundle.

From the outset the orchestra will draw together highly able young professionals who will develop into an ensemble that will be recognised, both locally and nationally, for its quality of performance. The orchestra seeks sponsors who would be interested in supporting Chichester and the local community in respect of live professional performance and the orchestra’s education programme in collaboration with West Sussex County Council. Alongside evening concerts the orchestra will offer afternoon open rehearsals and workshops for the local community. On 19th July an afternoon Open Rehearsal will be available at 3.00 pm for children, their parents and friends. Here there will be an opportunity to learn more about composers and the instruments of the orchestra.
