Back the Bid!

You should have heard by now that Chichester is going to bid to become the UK’s first city of Culture in 2013.

One of the fundamental reasons for this bid, which is being led by SWAG, is the hugely rich and diverse range of culture which exists not just in the city of Chichester but throughout the district itself.

Culture is not purely the excellent artistic activity for it also embraces the substantial and creative community activity, sport and well-being, what the countryside has to offer and what the country produces. We all have a part to play and we welcome your thoughts and initiatives as we prepare the bid which will be submitted in December.

There will be meetings, there will be soul-searching, brain-storming sessions, and there will be the opportunity for individuals and organizations to play a full and welcome part.

To start the process rolling please send your details to info@swagltd.com and we will be in touch.

This is a fantastic opportunity to come up with new ideas, collaborations, and ground-breaking thoughts, so please do discuss this with colleagues and within your community.
